I think I’ll have a look at that book.

Vested interest in VP debate?
Bill Clinton on Gramm-Leach-Bliley bill:
Obama likes to use the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act against McCain blaming him for deregulation. (Biden voted for it) Bill Clinton signed it into law and here’s what he has to say about it.
Mr. Clinton: “… You know, Phil Gramm and I disagreed on a lot of things, but he can’t possibly be wrong about everything. On the Glass-Steagall thing, like I said, if you could demonstrate to me that it was a mistake, I’d be glad to look at the evidence.
“But I can’t blame [the Republicans]. This wasn’t something they forced me into. I really believed that given the level of oversight of banks and their ability to have more patient capital, if you made it possible for [commercial banks] to go into the investment banking business as Continental European investment banks could always do, that it might give us a more stable source of long-term investment.”
[and]
We agree that Mr. Clinton isn’t wrong about everything. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act passed the Senate on a 90-8 vote, including 38 Democrats and such notable Obama supporters as Chuck Schumer, John Kerry, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Dick Durbin, Tom Daschle — oh, and Joe Biden. Mr. Schumer was especially fulsome in his endorsement.

VP moderator Gwen Ifill wrote book about Obama- due out in a few months.
How’s that for a fair and impartial debate?
Her book is due out January 9, 2009. She’s expecting Obama to win, and so he should with MSM in his tank. We think everyone should know who she is and I think it would be a good idea to let everyone know about the book she has written about Obama. So spread the word – this should be disclosed to the public ASAP, but MSM won’t do this so it’s up to us. I’m posting on Facebook, MySpace and other blogs.

Off the record, MSM is biased
see update below
This from Instapundit Glenn Reynolds
A READER AT A MAJOR NEWSROOM EMAILS: “Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working.” I asked permission to reprint without attribution and it was granted.
UPDATE: The Anchoress hears similar things. And reader Eric Schubert: “The Edwards debacle was proof enough of where the heart of the MSM lies, and lack of curiousity of the press about Edwards probably cost Hillary the nomination.

update: another admission of bias:
Michael S. Malone writes for ABC News:
The traditional media are playing a very, very dangerous game — with their readers, with the Constitution and with their own fates.
The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewildering, but appalling. And over the last few months I’ve found myself slowly moving from shaking my head at the obvious one-sided reporting, to actually shouting at the screen of my television and my laptop computer.
