House Republicans to Stay in Town for Energy Debate Through August
Posted by GOP Leader Press Office on August 8th, 2008
From the office of Republican Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO):
WASHINGTON – House Republicans will continue their historic call-to-arms on energy next week despite the fact Democrats shuttered the U.S. House of Representatives for a five-week vacation before noon on August 1. Since then, Republicans have spoken directly to the American people visiting our nation’s Capitol as well as in individual Congressional districts – meeting overwhelming support wherever they go.
Republicans will take to the House floor beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern everyday next week.
