Another round of pork on the spending menu?

Biden–of gaffemeister fame- says, ” “The truth is, we and everyone else misread the economy.”  Noooo that’s not quite true.  Economists warned us. I’m not sure when Obama’s friend Soros gained his billions from betting against the US economy–but he apparently knew more than most–and had no problem hedging his bets. I hope he let some of his friends in on the deal.

Putting pork on the table for people who helped Obama win the presidency was never going to jump-start the economy as many of us opined from the beginning. In fact, we saw and posted charts that showed the country would have fared better without a stimulus package.

IF our lawmakers do not have  “time” to read bills before voting on them–or if hundreds of pages are added after the House vote, we could accrue all sorts of nasty tidbits in the bills….like the RAT in the first pork laden bill or the $$$ given to have tattoos removed.

An irresponsible lot like the leaders pushing bills through without reading them tells the country a great deal…if people would stop drinking the kool-aid long enough to listen.

Money talks–and no doubt doodad is pulling out his credit card this very moment.

I guess Biden “misunderestimated the economy.”

Grub worms lose meal…Palin resigns

My opinion, but many mainstream Americans hold similar opinions–Anyone who attacks children, especially a one year old child is lower than a grub worm. In some circles, it’s considered “smart.”  It must be considered smart because many have taken that approach to the Palin children.

Palin is a hot ticket and draws interest even 8 months after the election, despite the attempted character assassination from the far left and attacks on the Palin children.  Mothers will surely understand what Sarah Palin has gone through with these guttersnipes attacking her children–but perhaps I should clarify.  “Human” mothers and fathers understand the pain of having their children attacked.

Though people are speculating on a presidential bid for Palin – I don’t think she will make that choice.  She is concerned about her family and the effect the indecent vicious lapdogs have on their well being. Again, human mothers can understand that concern.

It looks like the grub worms ate their meal–but don’t be too sure. Word is, she has many choices.

Palin, despite  liberal group-think is not dumb.  Alaska is in better shape now than when she took office and in much better shape than many of the lower 48 states.  She’s leaving the governors office better than she found it.  If that’s dumb, I’ll take it. (sure beats IOUs)

Grub worms will have to find someone else to feed on–but they’ve had so much practice, they’ll be fine.

They may not be able to find another baby or  14-year-old young girl to feed on, but they’re very talented, so who knows?

When the bill passes…your climate will change

What is the Cap and Trade Bill?  — really what is it?  If it passes, will you be able to afford heat and A/C ?

Unemployment, shaky US dollar, auto industry down….and Obama wants to increase taxes on those who provide services to you–the cost will be passed on to you!

Democrats won’t stand for pledge of allegiance…

Speaks volumes……those donkeys love to play games!

Disrespect for the pledge of allegiance only proves who they are.

How sad –people voted for them.  I see some long difficult days ahead.

Obama chooses which countries to meddle with….though we’re not sure what he uses as criteria.

Israel is OK to meddle with….Cairo speech demands on Israel.

OK to send money to Gaza (Hamas)  but cut off aid to Honduras?

No further sanctions for Iran?

Who else except the “progressives” in Congress would vote on a bill they had not read, suppress a report by the CEI and sentence fellow Americans to another ill advised spending burden?

Trickle down effect–through taxing those who provide services and jobs.

Krugman calls those who didn’t vote for the bill….traitors. Did you get that? Those who tried to tell the truth about the flaws and old scientific data in the bill are called traitors.

The BIG question for Krugman is —traitors to whom??

Economic impact of the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade Bill

The only entities directly regulated by Waxman-Markey would be the electric utilities, oil refiners, natural gas producers, and some manufacturers that produce energy on site. So, the good news for the rest of us–homeowners, car owners, small-business owners, farmers–is that we won’t be directly regulated under this bill. The bad news is that nearly all the costs will get passed on to us anyway.

Here in IL – we’ve already had several tax hikes from electric and heating fuel utilities.  Our state tax is one of the highest in the nation–and don’t even try to use a parking meter in greater Chicago. It’s robbery.

Still Rep Kirk thinks we should pay even more.  Pelosi charm get to him? (gag)

Global climate fable and transparent president

A Cap and Trade tale of the transparent Obama administration

Their prophet of global warming didn’t have a halo, and though he had failed at governing, he was still a politician and knew how to bring his message to the people. It was a message of doom and gloom. His message reverberated with those who didn’t bother to check his facts. They liked the pictures and graphs he presented to convince them.

Why should they be further confused with facts?

The prophet earned a great prize and accepted invitations to speak around the world. People liked his message of gloom and doom and he was good at spreading the message. He was rewarded greatly for his appearances even after he admitted, sometimes one had to exaggerate to get the point across.

By and by other scientists began to produce the really inconvenient truths that disputed the global warming myth and pointed to flaws in his message. Others showed that man’s influence on the weather was small as compared to sun flares and atmospheric storms.

They showed changing patterns of gulf streams that influenced warming of the oceans and didn’t panic when the prophet pronounced death to the solar ice caps.

The dissenting scientists produced reports based on new findings versus the prophet of doom’s flawed findings.

There were questions, but there were no honest debates.

Alas, the transparent president would not permit the CEI publish their report. They knew it would have a negative effect on the “Cap and tax the heck out of Americans bill.”  The bill passed the House with the help of 8 RINOs and the $$$ sentence was handed down to the American people.

Some accepted it gladly – and obediently drank deep.

Job Losses From Obama Green Stimulus Foreseen in Spanish Study

March 27 (Bloomberg) — Subsidizing renewable energy in the U.S. may destroy two jobs for every one created if Spain’s experience with windmills and solar farms is any guide.

For every new position that depends on energy price supports, at least 2.2 jobs in other industries will disappear, according to a study from King Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
